Practical guide · Brač

Make time for the interior.

Arrive with a little flexibility. Inland Brač is best enjoyed with room for a walk, a village meal and one thoughtfully chosen outing.

Reach Brač, then head inland.

Jadrolinija operates the Split–Supetar ferry route; Makarska–Sumartin is another connection to Brač. Check the operator’s current timetable, fare and vehicle rules for your travel date. Supetar is a convenient arrival point for reaching Nerežišća by road.

Arrange a car, taxi or local transfer to suit your plans. Do not assume frequent public transport between villages or a taxi waiting after a remote walk. Confirm the return journey before leaving.

Choose a day that fits your pace.

Begin in Nerežišća with the roof pine, church surroundings and stone lanes. Continue to Donji Humac or Dračevica, then pause for lunch. Choose Vidova Gora as a landscape outing, or build the day around Blaca’s walk and museum visit.

The suggested sequence is flexible, not a bookable or timed tour. Blaca requires walking and access planning; adding it to an already full day can turn a good visit into a rushed one.

Season, heat and walking.

Spring and autumn can be appealing for exploring the interior; weather is variable and services may have shorter hours. In summer, choose earlier or later walks and plan around heat. In winter, confirm what is open before travelling.

Carry drinking water, wear suitable shoes and check weather and any local access advisories. Families should assess terrain for their children; travellers with mobility needs should confirm arrangements for each site.

A base for a slower stay.

If staying in Nerežišća or a nearby village, choose accommodation that suits how you will travel. Ask the host about parking, steps, arrival arrangements and access to shops or meals. Coastal visits can complement time in the interior.

This guide does not list live availability or process bookings. Confirm accommodation, dining and guided visits directly with the provider. Treat beaches, mountain routes and village walks as different experiences requiring different preparation.
